installation guide

Get a pack into your session in under a minute.

Every pack ships with a per-device Installation Instructions.txt and a README.txt in the zip. This page is the at-a-glance version for the formats we publish. Jump to your device:

Chord progression MIDI — any DAW

  1. Unzip the pack.
  2. Drag a .mid file from the MIDI/ folder straight onto a track in your DAW.
  3. Point the track at any chord-capable instrument. Transpose, re-voice, or chop freely.

MPC chord packs — Akai MPC / Force

  1. Copy the unzipped pack folder onto your MPC's storage (USB or SD).
  2. On the MPC, open the Browser, navigate to the folder, and load the.xpm program — pads light up as the chord layout.
  3. Each .progression in the same folder maps to a Pad Perform chord set. The matching .mid riff inMIDI/ previews the harmony in any DAW.

Drum patterns — Ableton Drum Rack

  1. Drag the included Drum Rack .adg onto a MIDI track to load the kit.
  2. Drag any pattern .mid from the pack onto a clip slot on that track.
  3. Patterns are GM-mapped, so any GM-compatible drum kit will play them even if you swap the rack.

Drum patterns — Native Instruments Maschine

  1. In Maschine, load any kit (factory or your own).
  2. Drag a pattern .mid from the pack onto a Group's pattern slot. Maschine reads GM mapping and routes to the matching pads.

Drum patterns — FL Studio FPC

  1. Drop FPC onto a channel and load any kit.
  2. Right-click the pattern's piano-roll area → Import MIDI file → pick a .mid from the pack.

Arturia MicroFreak presets

  1. Connect your MicroFreak via USB and open MIDI Control Center (MCC).
  2. Confirm the device is on V5+ firmware. Older firmware lines may import only a partial preset list.
  3. Back up your current preset slots first — sending the project overwrites the targeted range and there is no undo on the hardware side.
  4. In MCC, choose the project from the pack's presets/ folder and click Send to MicroFreak.
  5. The companion .mid riffs in MIDI/ work in any DAW so you can audition the harmony each preset is built around before committing a slot on the device.

Korg Minilogue / Minilogue XD patches

Minilogue and Minilogue XD use different patch formats. Make sure the pack you bought matches your device — original-Minilogue program data will not load on an XD and vice versa.

  1. Connect your Minilogue (or XD) via USB and open the matching Korg Librarian / Sound Librarian app.
  2. Back up your current programs first — restoring after an overwrite is only possible if you have an export.
  3. In Librarian, drag the .prog_bin files from the pack into the program slots you want to overwrite, then sync to the device.
  4. Companion .mid riffs in MIDI/ preview the harmony each patch was tuned for.
